Great gift for wedding season

This collection of heartfelt essays, ranging from practical to humorous, is a great gift for newly married couples, those contemplating commitment, and even those who have gone the distance. So much thought and energy goes into planning weddings, and not nearly enough to what it takes to build a life together. Unpretentious, lively, and filled with wisdom, I found this a thoroughly enjoyable read. I also was delighted to see that the profits are being donated to an excellent cause!

Your heart will survive any marriage (for some time longer then you think)

I really loved to buy this book because I read a few pages when I was at communication course in the Hague (the Netherlands). Since I am a native dutch I opted for the dutch version but this was no longer available. The problem with the english version is that the translation is from German language which make it's some times irritating to read. The lessons in the book however are very true as I experienced in my own marriages where my ego already divorced hundreds of times and where I saw when I was getting more open and my heart took the initiative in the thinking. I made it possible to see things - slowly - from another angle. I gave me the change to go much further in the relationship and grow personally too.
